Coffee Porter
58 IBUs, 7.3% abv:
The base style of this beer is a Baltic Porter, which means that it has a higher alcohol content and more restrained roast and bitterness characteristics from a standard porter. A smooth mouth-feel, with hints of dried fruit, a slight sweetness, and warmth to the finish. The Colombian coffee is cold brewed to ensure a smoother, less acidic flavor and is made right here by local Topeka’s own PT’s Coffee!
Schwarzbier
A darker, more roasty cousin of a Munich Dunkel. This dark German Lager is full of flavor, with a hint of roast and the crisp finish of a lager.
Fat Back Lager
A Vienna lager named after the city in which it originated. Munich, Pilsner, Vienna toasted and dextrin malts are used, as well as some wheat. Subtle hops, crisp, with residual sweetness. Although German in origin some newer examples come from Mexico, such as Negra Modelo and Dos Equis.
Oktoberfest-Marzen
Oktoberfest-Marzen brewed in March and cellared through spring and summer. Märzenbier is full-bodied, rich, toasty, typically dark copper in color with a medium/high alcohol content.
Odin’s One-EyePA
80 IBUs, 7.6% abv: Designed to really showcase the flavor and aroma of the six different varieties of hops used and to have a healthy, but not overpowering bitterness. This balance is achieved through the use of Maris Otter for a bigger malt flavor and a large amount of late and dry hop additions. What you get is an aroma full of citrus fruit and a full hop flavor balanced with just enough malt for a smooth finish. Sitting between an IPA and and Imperial IPA, we let you decide.
Rudy’s Irish Red
A bit sweet, with a lightly hopped tea-like flavor, and an even dextrous body, Irish Red Ales are easy to please. A well-rounded and balanced flavor with a pleasant toasted malt character and a dry finish easy for quaffing.
Shield Maiden Wheat
Our take on an American Wheat beer with a little Rye for additional flair. Low bitterness, low malt for a very smooth and refreshing drinking experience.
Attempted Conspiracy
A Russian Imperial Stout inspired by brewers back in the 1800’s to win over the Russian Czar, this is the king of stouts, boasting high alcohol by volumes and plenty of malt character. Low to moderate levels of carbonation with huge roasted, chocolate and burnt malt flavours. Dry with suggestions of dark fruit and flavors of higher alcohols. Low to Medium hop character to balance sweetness.
Andy’s Sensual Saision “A.S.S.” Beer
Saisons are sturdy farmhouse ale that was traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Not so long ago it was close to being an endangered style, but over recent years there’s been a massive revival; especially in the US.
This is a very complex style; very fruity in the aroma and flavor. Earthy yeast tones, mild to moderate tartness. Lots of spice and with a medium bitterness. Semi-dry with a touch of sweetness.
